Is Alabama a motorcycle Hotspot?

Recently while I was working on this web site I took a little time to reflect on the development of motorcycling in Alabama and was really amazed at just what Alabama has to offer.   For many years we have had a couple of nice venues, namely the Barber Motorsports Museum at its old Birmingham location and the Talladega Gran Prix Raceway.  But just in the past couple of years central Alabama has really blossemed.  Three things come to mind.  First is Barber building a new facility for the musuem.  If you haven't been, it is truly 1st class.  Second was Barber building a world class track to go along with the museum.  That makes two road course tracks in central Alabama, both hosting sanctioned races and Barber hosting major superbike events. Third is the development of the 29 Dreams motorcycle campground.   I've watched this business from the start and the growth has been phenominal.  Couple these venues with some nice motorcycle roads and Alabama is really a great place to ride.
